A little about me...

I believe that life should be less about what we do and more about how we feel while doing it. One day, I realized that I would rather feel everything doing nothing with people I love than do everything and feel nothing with people I didn’t.

I also believe that people are the biggest amplifiers of feelings, and indeed the whole human experience. So, learning to really connect with people (not just spend time with them) is the biggest advantage you can have in life.

As promised earlier, here is a random assortment of facts about me to help you connect better with my writing. Reach out if you relate to any of them! Better yet, use some of the tools you learned from me and see if they work!

  • I’m an avid self-experimenter. I experiment with everything — food, sleep, my relationship with others, my relationship with myself, and with optimizing life.

  • I question everything I’ve been taught — especially about relationships and how we “should” interact with people.

  • I believe in living life in such a way that it has the opportunity to surprise and delight me everyday. As part of that, I try to have at least one meaningful (non-small talk) conversation with a stranger every day.

  • I read twice a day every day (when I wake up and when I fall asleep) for as long as I remember. Books are my longest love affair.

  • Traveling for rock climbing is a big part of my life. It is the way I grow, connect, and play. I dabble in contact improvisation, acroyoga and surfing.

  • Speaking of play — I believe play should be present in everyone’s lives all day, every day. Not structured, curated, play with rules but pure, unadulterated child-like play.

  • I have a goal to learn a new physical skill or activity each year. In 2025, it is surfing.

  • I have a really good memory. Don’t tell me your credit card number, even in jest!

  • I’ve been an immigrant twice over and have had three nationalities. I’m currently based in Boulder, Colorado in the US. If you read enough of my writing, you’ll find out where I’m actually from and where I’ve been😉.

  • My favorite thing about myself is that I am my own best friend and my internal self-talk is really kind and supportive.

  • I majored in Biochemistry and Genetics in University and started a Ph.D. in Medical Research. One of my best decisions was walking away from this field when I knew it wasn't working for me. Now, I fix complex engineering projects for a living. It’s great. I get paid to analyze data, solve puzzles, and listen. It’s the best training in human dynamics ever.

  • One of my life mantra is to always ask myself, "What have you done today that scares you?" I believe that fear the boundary of our fear is where we feel the most alive and I always want to have a friendly relationship with fear.

  • I recently completed training to be a legal psilocybin facilitator in Colorado. Reach out if you are interested in exploring psychedelics for better connection or play.

I want to learn more about:

  • Brazilian Jujitsu or any kind of martial arts
